Royal Titans rewards useful gear switching: melee Branda and Eldric when they are close, range them when they retreat, and use water spells against fire obstacles and elementals or fire spells against ice. In the second phase, stand on the marked safe tile for the elemental blasts instead of chasing one extra melee hit.

This is a first-clear guide for a duo, with solo differences explained. There are no quest or skill requirements to enter, but protection prayers and functional weapons in the relevant styles make learning far more practical. A recommended level is a comfort target, not an access gate.

Reach the dungeon and agree the basic jobs

Enter the Asgarnian Ice Dungeon south of Port Sarim and head through towards the Royal Titans entrance. Fairy ring aiq is a useful approach. With 60 Agility, the shortcut west of the dungeon entrance avoids the longer walk. A giantsoul amulet becomes a direct teleport once obtained.

Before entering, agree that both players will clear dangerous elementals and watch the safe tile, rather than assume the partner has all utility covered. The fight supports one or two players. Solo is possible, but the same health pools make a weak solo setup take considerably longer.

Bring a reliable melee weapon, ranged weapon with matching ammunition, and fire/water spell access. Add combat boosts, Prayer restoration, food and an emergency teleport. Try the actual switches once at the bank; an unequipped staff or insufficient runes can leave the utility setup unusable.

Group Ironmen who care about prestige should choose a partner within their group. Entering with somebody outside it loses prestige. Standard deaths are unsafe for Hardcore accounts, even though the encounter is intended as a more accessible switching lesson.

Target or cue

Useful response

Titan in melee distance

Melee damage; Protect from Melee for stomps

Titan retreating out of melee

Use ranged during its large accuracy bonus

Fire wall or elemental

Appropriate water spell

Ice wall or elemental

Appropriate fire spell

Elemental blast charging

Range from the marked safe tile

One Titan subdued

Prepare for stronger remaining stomp pressure

Make the magic switch accurate enough

Walls can be cleared with the opposing element using Water Blast or Fire Blast or stronger, with ice spells also able to clear fire. These obstacle-clearing casts have special rules and do not incur the ordinary attack delay. That does not mean every weak magic setup will also clear elementals reliably.

For guaranteed successful elemental hits, aim for at least +70 Magic attack bonus, or +39 with the full Void mage set. Check the complete equipped value, including negative bonuses from melee jewellery or gloves. Swapping a staff alone may leave the total below the threshold.

Water and fire spells hit an area around the targeted elemental in this encounter, and the opposing element deals double damage. Suitable Wave spells at 75 Magic can provide the damage needed to one-shot the 40-health elementals. Lower-level spells remain useful but may require more casts.

An optional Twinflame staff can simplify switching between the two elements. It is a convenience rather than a requirement. The basic lesson is to select the correct spell and wear enough accuracy, then return to the main damage style without losing the next movement cue.

Opening phase: melee nearby, range the retreat

Both Titans begin briefly within melee distance before moving away. Take an opening attack only if it does not disrupt your setup; there is no need to force a special before you can see the arena. As a Titan retreats, switch to ranged and keep attacking from the strip of land.

The fight grants a six-times ranged accuracy multiplier while the Titan is out of melee distance, lasting until it turns back to engage. This is an accuracy bonus, not six-times damage. Your ordinary ranged weapon still needs appropriate ammunition, boosts and a usable attack setting.

When a Titan returns, switch back to melee and protect against the stomp. Slight crush weakness does not automatically make a much weaker crush weapon better than every stronger alternative. Use a functional main weapon and focus on completing the switches.

Watch the ground when a row of fire or icicles begins forming. Leave the row or clear it with the correct spell. Deliberately standing in the formation can prevent the obstacle but costs health; it is unnecessary for an ordinary first completion.

Branda and Eldric fighting players on the narrow arena with fire, ice and summoned elementals

Clear elementals before their damage accumulates

Each Titan can summon a group of elementals. They can stack together and eventually explode around themselves if left alive. Use the opposing spell on a useful central target and finish survivors, then return to damage on the Titan.

Do not assume the partner’s cast covered your side. Check that the actual elemental models disappeared. A missed or underpowered cast can leave several threats alive, especially when the magic switch has less accuracy than expected.

Experienced high-damage duos may ignore some elementals while resetting supplies between very fast kills. That is a setup-specific speed method, not the default for a learner with slower damage and several additional summons.

Keep enough space for movement after clearing. A row of obstacles combined with live elementals can make a simple safe-tile move unnecessarily awkward. Utility damage is useful because it protects the next stage, even though elemental damage does not increase boss-loot contribution.

Second phase: follow the marked safe tile

When either Titan reaches 210 health or less, both move onto the arena and become stationary. Do not stand where a Titan is about to occupy the platform, as the transition can knock you back and damage you.

They add Elemental Blast, which strikes the arena three times while leaving one marked safe tile. Move onto that tile and stay through all three blasts. Use ranged during the charge and blasts; the large ranged accuracy bonus also applies here.

There are precise melee opportunities between blasts, but their safety depends on distance and timing. A first-clear player can simply range from safety. Running out for an attack that cannot return before the next pulse trades a small gain for avoidable damage.

Continue to use Melee protection for stomps outside the blast response and clear dangerous elementals. Once one Titan is subdued, the other’s stomps can pierce prayer for damage, and the blast-safe tile is placed farther away. Bringing their health down reasonably together can reduce that awkward final section.

Problem

What to inspect

Elementals survive every cast

Correct opposing spell, actual max hit and Magic accuracy

Ranged damage seems poor up close

The large accuracy bonus applies during retreat/blast windows

Hit between blast pulses

Remain on the safe tile until all three resolve

Unexpected damage after first Titan falls

Remaining stomp can pierce prayer

One partner gets most useful loot

Boss contribution differs from elemental clearing

Choose the reward deliberately

After both fall, choose which Titan to loot. Branda and Eldric have different unique rewards, so the choice matters to the upgrade you are pursuing. Each player selects their reward; killing both does not mean independently looting both corpses.

The Loot option gives ordinary rolls. Sacrifice gives up ordinary loot to improve the pet chance, while Take pages provides desiccated pages with the associated trade-off. Do not choose Sacrifice expecting the same item return as ordinary looting.

In duos, common quantities and unique chances depend on boss damage contribution; damage to elementals does not count towards that share. Clearing them is still an important survival job. Discuss roles without promising equal personal rolls from unequal damage.

The grave appears outside the entrance on death. Bank and rebuild supplies before another attempt rather than re-enter on an empty Prayer bar. A useful first milestone is a full duo kill with reliable opposing spells and no elemental-blast hits.
